Hebrews1:1 Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. 2 And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe. NLT
Under the old covenant, the people were spiritually dead and the Holy Spirit hadn't come fully into their lives to guide them but God provided a way of communicating with his people by speaking through his prophets at certain times. The prophets were custodians of God's word and revelations except on few occasions by divine providence when God spoke to certain individuals.
In this dispensation, Christ is the revelation of God. He came to reveal the very nature of the father to us and he is an embodiment of God's love and message to us. We shouldn't seek the way anymore through prophets, if we can
listen to Christ through his word and the Spirit, we shall have all that we need. Prophets in the new testament are not to build for us doctrines because the doctrines of God have been revealed through Christ. They are meant to confirm what God has already spoken to us IF we are in the Spirit.
The revelational knowledge of Christ is what you need because he is all that you need. God promised every of his inheritance to the son and we are joint-heirs with him. Stop seeking prophets around, Christ is the master prophet. If you can listen to Christ through his word and Spirit, your life will not remain the same again.
Father, I receive grace to listen to Christ through his word and Spirit In Jesus name. Amen
