Hebrews3:13 You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God. NLT
There are certain verses of the scriptures such as this that we must pause and meditate upon. The instruction is explicit that we should 'warn' each other every day so that we won't fall into the deception of sin and be hardened against God. That implies that we must hear the warnings in the scripture on daily basis because of how crucial eternity is.
I am not a fan of the gospel that makes people feel cool while living in sin, a gospel that tells people that whatever they do after salvation doesn't matter anymore, that is pure deception of sin that the writer of Hebrews was talking about. Grace must match with a godly life, if the grace of God doesn't produce in you a godly person, I doubt if it is the grace that Paul preached.
The day of the Lord's coming is drawing nearer, many have forgotten that our stay is transient here and the time for our stay here would be up very soon. Sin is deceptive and it wears new garment on daily basis, we must stay within the ambits of godliness to stand till the end. Don't harden your heart against God because of the convenience of sin. Change your ways.
Father, as the day draw near, I refuse to be deceived by sin In Jesus name.
