Colossians1:23 But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed as God’s servant to proclaim it.
The Christian race is like a journey with a destination in-view, it has a finish line. It is a race that has an unusual reward and God is the rewarder. It is a race that leaves us with the tendency of falling away or standing until victory is achieved, it is race that many starters don't finish, it is a race that gets many tired and worn-out because of the cares of this world.
The worst thing that can happen to any believer is to start and not finish the race or to fall by the way side. As the day draw nearer, I am beginning to place more value on eternity because the prophecies as regards the end time are happening right in our very eyes. People prefer to listen to what their itching ears want to hear and they surround themselves with teachers that teaches what they like to hear.
Apostle Paul is speaking to us today that we should stand firm and continue in the race that is set before us. It is dangerous to look back or rest on the way because our adversary is lurking at the corner to drag the weary and careless into eternal damnation. Place a high premium on your eternal destiny than anything else.
Father, I will finish the Christian race strong and victorious In Jesus name. Amen
