Recently, the media reported cases of wild fire in Canada, plane crash and other sad events that happened. In Nigeria, the North East is yet to recover from the menace of Islamic fundamentalist called Boko Haram while the Middle East is under siege by a terrorist organization called ISIS. Syria has had civil war and constant terrorist invasion. These and many more are happening at the same time.
Truly, the words of Jesus in Matthew 24 are happening right in our very eyes. We need not to be told that we must live prepared more than ever for the coming of Christ. Apostle Peter advised that we must be earnest and disciplined in prayers because the end is near. Your prayers must reflect a desire for eternity and not just for mundane things.
Dearest, you cannot escape two events- rapture or death. Jesus or death may come first. We all pray for long life but how long should we live here that should really determine what long life is? Life on the other side called eternity is timeless and eternal.If you don't have Jesus in your life, accept him today. The home that Jesus has gone to prepare for us is ready waiting to be inhabited by ready saints.
I saw a caption recently that says: ' as Jesus has gone to prepare a place for us, may we also prepare for the place'.
