1John3:2 Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. 3 And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure.
NLT
When I was in my fellowship's choir as an undergraduate, we were taught an African song by Kirk Franklin. The title of that song is 'kwabona Kala Thina Sm…o Fananye' it means when he comes back, we shall be like him. We don't know what we shall be like when Christ comes, we have read from scriptures that we shall be immortal beings but one thing I know for sure is that we shall be like him.
This hope is the reason why we should keep ourselves pure so that we shall be like him when he appears. The dreams of heaven and life after this earth should always be alive in your heart always. Fanny J.Crosby who was blind said 'Visions of rapture burst on my sight', that is one of the lines in the popular hymn 'Blessed Assurance.
If a visually impaired woman is seeing visions of rapture, then it shows that there is something spiritual about the glories of heaven that the ordinary eyes cannot see. It takes being ready and expecting the return of the master to keep the vision of heaven fresh and alive in our hearts. Prepare for his coming!
Father, I receive grace to be ready so that I can be rapturable anytime you come for me In Jesus name.
