THE ERA OF IMPERFECT LAW

April 18, 2016 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Heb7:19 For the law never made anything perfect. But now we have confidence in a better hope, through which we draw near to God.

NLT

If there's any understanding from scriptures that I received from the Lord in recent years, I think the subject on the dispensation of Mosaic laws and the dispensation of grace was unveiled to me clearly and I'm still learning. I have been preaching it and would continue to preach it. No man achieve salvation and holiness by trying to keep the Mosaic laws because no man can fulfil all of those laws.

God's intention was to raise a pure breed of people, he gave the laws but those laws were weak and it was impossible for man to meet the standard set by God in those laws. The law revealed the holiness of God and how man should strive in the flesh to please God but it wasn't possible.

There are over 600 laws and failing in one is failing in all. Can you keep 600+ laws?

God sent his Son to usher us into a life of grace and righteousness. Now, we have what Moses, Aaron, Joshua, etc were trying to achieve- righteousness. We have the righteousness of God given to us as a gift not because of our performance but because of grace. Now we can walk boldly into God's presence without guilt. Glory!
