1Thess5:17 Pray without ceasing,
A woman had a wayward son. He was notorious and known for all manners of vices. He had no single virtue in him. His mother preached to him but he didn't give his life to Christ. However, the mother didn't stop praying for him. She presented his matter before God always. At old age, she died. This young man persisted in his sinful life. He was involved in an accident that made him unconscious. He had a vision, in that vision, he saw himself journeying to hell.
He was terrified and didn't know what to do. However, an angel prevented him from being thrown into hell. In that vision, God showed him how his late mother prayed for his salvation when she was alive. On account of her prayers, he was prevented from being thrown into hell and he was given another chance. When he regained consciousness on the hospital bed, he gave his life to Christ and he became a mighty preacher. Your children may escape your discipline but they cannot escape your prayer. How often do you pray for your children? There are demonic forces attacking the lives of children from Christian homes.
It is not all wayward children that are untrained. Some children came from godly homes where discipline and godliness was taught yet their lives didn't reflect the investments of their parents. I grew up as a Pastor's son and I can boldly say that my parents didn't default in training me and my siblings, yet, there was a time in my life when everything about me was opposite the training I received. I pretended perfectly. However, my life didn't escape the power of prayer. Don't give up on that wayward child. The devil may be telling you to stop praying, please don't. Your prayer is the only line of defense and shield covering that child. The moment you quit praying, the devil will launch his final assault attack.
On daily basis, mention the name of your children in prayer.
