Psalms 130:4-5 Lord , if you kept a record of our sins, who, O Lord, could ever survive? But you offer forgiveness, that we might learn to fear you. NLT
A lady met with a Pastor during a counselling session. He told her God can forgive her sins and wash them away with the blood of Jesus Christ. The lady replied the pastor, ''you don't know how weighty my sins are. God can't forgive those heavy sins''. The Pastor told her to pick a large stone while he picked a very small stone. He took her to the sea side, when they got there, he told her to throw the large stone into the sea, she did just that. The stone made a large noise when it entered into the sea and sank deep down, he also did the same with the small stone in his hand but the noise wasn't much. Then the pastor said: "The sea is likened to the blood of Jesus which can accommodate both big and small sins no matter the size, it will sink deep down." One of the worst thing for a believer is to doubt God's forgiveness and mercy. It is a tool of the enemy to keep us in guilt.
Do you know that God loves bad people? No matter how bad you are or have been, you are the one God is looking for and He is desperately calling on you to open the door of your heart to Him. God sent His only Son to deliver you totally from your sinful past and to erase the records of your sins. If the entire human race were pure and holy, then there would be no need for Christ to come but bible said all man including you and me have sinned and have fallen short of God's glory( Rom3:23). The main assignment of Jesus Christ in the life of any man is to save sinners from their horrible lifestyle of sin and give a brand new life (Matt1:21). God can give you a brand new life regardless of your dirty past. I know the devil will be telling you: “God can't accept you again because your sins are big,” he may even deceive you that every one that has committed your kind of sins has never been accepted by God and will never be. I have a good news for you that though your sins may be as red as blood, they shall be white as snow (Isa1:18).
All your sin needs is a contact with the blood of Jesus. God will not stop there, He will forget your sins and take away the guilt of sin (Heb8:12). Halleluyah!!! God has the history of transforming bad people and making something good out of their lives. Abraham lied, Isaac lied and Jacob was a fraudster, yet God chose to be called the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I think that should give you a rethink. Paul, the most celebrated Apostle was a killer before he met Christ but he met with the God that transforms bad people and his life took a new turn. The reason why you are running away from Jesus Christ is the reason why you should run to him. While you are still a sinner, Christ died for you, this is the good news (Rom5:8). All you need do is to surrender your life in its entirety to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and forsake your sinful ways, then you will be privileged to be a partaker of this new life where bad people like you are transformed to great men and women.
Lord Jesus, come into my heart. I confess you as my Lord and personal saviour. Accept me and make me yours, In Jesus name.
