NO TIME TO WASTE

August 12, 2020 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

2Cor 6:2 For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation. NLT

A young man had a preacher coming around to preach the gospel to him at the age of 17. The preacher persuaded him to yield to the gospel, but he told the preacher that he needed to gain admission into the university before accepting Christ. After he finished from the university as a medical doctor, the preacher reminded him about his decision to accept Christ after school. This young medical doctor begged for more time so that he can secure a job and be established in his career. After he got a job in one of the best hospitals in town, the preacher came around again, this young man gave another excuse that he needed to marry and raise his kids. This young medical doctor became successful and even became the minister of health in his country.

At the age of 90, he encountered another preacher that persuaded him to make a commitment to Christ but this old medical doctor told him he's been hearing the same old story since he was a young man and such doesn't appeal to him any longer. Painfully, when that preacher returned, he saw his grave and the epitaph had this inscription: ''The man that got all he decided to get but failed to make the most important decision in life". The inscription on his epitaph was written by the old doctor's son who knew how his father had postponed his salvation.

Dearest, don't delay your salvation any longer. It will be a waste to make earthly decisions that will make you an earthly star without making the most important decision in life that will make you relevant in eternity with Christ. There is no time to waste enjoying the pleasures of life without Jesus Christ in your life. If you have all the money, degrees, houses and earthly possessions, without Christ, your life will be in eternal crisis. Jesus is the giver of eternal life so that you will not experience eternal death. Accept Him now by praying the prayer of salvation.

Dear Father, I know you love me and that's the reason for sending Christ to die for my sins. I forsake my sins and I accept Christ as my Lord and personal saviour. I confess him as the Lord of my life from today till eternity In Jesus Name.
