HE WON'T WITHHOLD

September 18, 2015 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Psalms84:11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Jesus asked his listeners if they would give their children stone instead of bread, serpent instead of fish. I am very sure that no right thinking father would do that. Even when I was stubborn as a boy, after beatings and slaps from my mum especially, she wouldn't deny me what is due me because it is her duty to do so especially food.

God is a very good God. He has promised not to deny or withhold good things from those that walk uprightly. He is our grace and glory giver, he is our sun and shield at the same time. What a wonderful God we serve. God is not a task master that is seeking to lay on you heavy burdens. Devil is the greatest task master that add to burdens and doesn't lift it at all.

When you see God as one wicked figure that wants to punish you every time you fail, you won't enjoy or accept his love. Some are afraid of God instead of them to fear him. Some believe they don't deserve some things but they fail to understand that the blood of Christ has qualified them for God's best.

When God thinks about the sufferings of Christ on the cross, he won't withhold any good thing from you- that is grace at work.
