REFRAINED LIPS

September 15, 2015 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Proverbs10:19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that. refraineth his lips is wise.

When I studied all the four temperaments, I discovered that the sanguine's major problem is that he's prone to talking too much and that may lead into sin of exaggeration. No matter how small it may look, exaggeration though is a figure of speech but it is sinful. That's what we call 'evangelistic speaking' because most evangelists are prone to exaggerating things.

If you are the type that wants to impress with words so that your listeners can stay glued to you, you may end up saying what you shouldn't say. When you cannot keep shut for sometime, you may commit sin in your words. God want you to be able to control your lips. It is better not to talk than talk rubbish. I have been a victim of this severally and I know what I'm saying.

No one would know how foolish a man is until he speaks. There are even preachers that add little lies to their message so that their congregation can be motivated. You cannot use lies to convey the truth, it won't work that way. Let's grow to a point where we won't speak or say a word unless it is necessary.

Beware of using your mouth to leak the anointing in your life.

Action point

Father, I receive grace to refrain my lips in Jesus name. Amen
Pray along with us for the next outreach to Cinjiteye/Kpanche.
