Sos2:15 Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.
In agricultural studies, we were told that there are certain pest that destroys plants especially cash crops. One insect that comes to mind is the stem borer, it bore holes in a standing stem of plant and saps the nutrient in it. Though the plant may be standing but it is weak and cannot stand the wind because the nutrient is sapped out.
There are little things we do that may be sapping out spiritual energy in us. Certain things look harmless but it may be robbing us of great eternal reward in heaven. God's plan would have been fuflfilled in the lives of some people but they didn't deal with the little fox(es) in their vine. If Samson had dealt with his inward weakness on time, he wouldn't have been a victim of Delilah.
Anger may look so little but it cost Moses the promise land, Gehazi would have received the anointing for ministry if not for covetousness. Demas' name may have been written in gold if not for worldly lust or do we talk about the great Saul that lost the throne to little disobedience. What you don't deal with may deal with you.
Those little sins are the foxes that may spoil your vine, deal with them now.
I silence the little foxes that want to spoil my vine In Jesus name.
