Proverbs16:7 When a man's ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
There are Christians who see every challenge as the work of the enemy. When they see cockroach, they say it is a demon that has visited them, they may start praying and calling down fire like Elijah. Even when common sense can solve their issues, they put all blames on their enemies. They never cease to pray that their enemies should die.
Looking at the scriptures, we can see that there is no other potent weapon in warfare than holy living. When the life of a man is pleasing to God, there is a shield of protection around such a fellow that keeps the enemy at bay. Before you call down fire on your enemies, do a thorough check to know if your walk with God is pleasing unto him.
Any man whose life isn't at par with what God expects has made himself his own enemy. If God would answer all your prayers on the death your enemy, you may be the first casualty because most people have inflicted pain on themselves through their careless life. Your aim should not be to deal with your enemies but rather to desire a closer walk with the father.
If your walk with God is pleasing to him, your enemies are dealt with even before you open your mouth to pray because holiness is a shield.
Father, I receive grace for a pleasing walk with you In Jesus name. Amen
