Proverbs14:23 In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.
A fortune teller met two friends and told them about their future. He told the first man that he would be very wealthy because he was destined to be wealthy and famous. He told the second man that he was destined to be poor. The first man became a vain man in town, he would drink and womanise because he felt the wealth would come on him like ripe cherries.
The second man bought farming tools and he decided that he would work hard on his farm so as to change his fortunes. After several years, he became a wealthy farmer but his friend who was basking in the euphoria of what the fortune-teller said became very poor and beggarly. He didn't add the ingredient of labour to what the fortune-teller told him.
Laziness stinks. If God has told you that he would bless you and make your name great, you need to get to work and double up your effort. The talk of mouth is cheap, do not be lazy,do something. There are christians looking for a big job, yet the big jobs aren't coming. Do the little ones you can find and trust God to use it as a stepping stone for you.
There is profit in every labour, no matter how small it is please labour in something worthwhile.
Father, I receive grace to labour profitably in Jesus name. Amen
