KEEP THE HEDGE INTACT

September 10, 2015 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Ecclesiastes10: 8 He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.

The hedge refers to a stone wall that prevents penetration of reptiles. When there is a crevice in the wall, serpents and other reptiles would hide in it. Most times, snakes, lives inside broken hedge(s) especially in areas where there are bushes.

There is a hedge of protection around our lives that must not be broken. Once the hedge is broken, the serpent(devil) will come in and attack us. Sin is a hedge breaker and we must not allow it to dwell in our lives. The devil is seeking to come in to steal, kill and destroy; when your obedience is not complete, the hedge is broken.

A father can break the hedge of his family and cause everyone to suffer. When tithing is neglected, you have broken the hedge and open the door for devourers to come in. Take a look at your life in its entirety and search for places where the hedge has been broken and close it up through repentance.

Action point

Father, I come to you in total repentance and I close-up the hedge so that the serpent will not bite me In Jesus name.
