Proverbs11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise
Years back, I wrote an article titled 'what the wise ones do'. The central theme of that piece was about soul-winning. I wrote that article when the church in northern Nigeria was under serious persecution. The insurgents took over most of the local government area in north eastern Nigeria and lots of Christians were killed.
What I discovered about the happenings of those times was that we( Christians) suffered for our negligence in preaching the gospel. The militants that killed christians and burnt churches would have been pastors or preachers if we had reached out to them earlier with the gospel. The devil was quick to reach them and he gave them ak-47 guns and bombs.
Those we fail to reach may end up constituting nuisance to our society because their lives is under the control of the devil. Don't sit idle and look at souls perishing or languishing in sin. You must rise-up and do something about it because the souls we fail to win today may end-up becoming the pain in our neck tomorrow.
Wise men are souls winners.
