HE CAN GIVE HIS POWER NOT HIS GLORY

September 29, 2015 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Isaiah42:8 I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

Recently, the media has been awash with men that claim to have special ability to do miracles and cause the unusual to happen. They give themselves a special alias and draw attention to themselves not to Christ. A prophet once boasted that when people come to his church, he'll see visions about their problems and tell them the solution. That's a far cry from what I know in the bible.

After achieving a feat for God, when the focus is no longer on Christ, then you're are taking the glory off God and giving it to yourself. God can share his power but he cannot and will not share his glory. Stop taking credit for the work of God's grace in your life. There is nothing a man has that he has not been given from above.

God is the healer, miracle worker and giver of life. If he decides that he won't give you that gift, there is nothing you can do about it. God is very jealous and he doesn't want men to take his glory and praise. Don't accept the praise(s) of men, re direct them to God and let them give him the praises.

Herod gave himself the glory but deadly worms feasted on him.

Action point

Father, I receive grace to be humble and never to take your glory In Jesus name. Amen
