Ecclesiastes11:4 He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.
In the little time I've spent counselling people especially students, I discovered that one major reason why people fail is because they cooperate with 'excuses'. A student once told me that the lecturers are wicked and the marking is harsh, I asked him if there are people that are still making it in his department in a clean way, he said yes.
A wise man said that the reason why people fail is because of a syndrome called 'excuse(s)' and the reason why people succeed is still because of excuse(s). When excuses render you clueless and inactive, it is negative and such a fellow would always fail. Christ had excuses not to succeed in ministry and ultimately die for our sins. The antagonism of the Pharisees is enough excuse for him not to fuflil his ministry.
I agree that there are odds that may want to pose threat to your journey in life but have it in mind that when the odds are against you, you also have to go against the odds. Successful people don't manage excuses, they defy excuses. There are reasons to fail in life but they are not valid and tenable as far as God is concerned.
The more you dwell on excuses for not doing what you ought to do in life to succeed, the deeper you'll sink in failure.
Father, I receive grace to take the right action at the right time and to defy excuses In Jesus name. Amen
