Isaiah6:1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
Uzziah was a human king that lived and ruled in the era of Isaiah's ministry here on earth as opposed to the opinion that some have that Uzziah was probably a demon. Though, the revelation Isaiah had coincided with when the king died. The most important point for us to note is the word 'death', not the argument about who Uzziah really was.
Let's assume that Uzziah represented the flesh. For any man to have a revelation of God, he needs to die. The Uzziahs in his life needs to die. Flesh is the barrier between us and God; God wants a smooth relationship with us all. Isaiah had been prophesying from chapter one of the book of Isaiah, when he saw God in chapter six after the death of Uzziah(flesh), he saw how unclean he was.
It is only when flesh is daily crucified that we can really see God in his glory. We can be so close to God here on earth to the extent of how crucified our flesh is. Obedience to God's word and having the understanding that we are no longer slaves to sin is the key to victory over the flesh.
Father, I receive grace to daily crucify the flesh in Jesus name. Amen
