Proverbs11:24 There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.
I read about a Christian business man that changed the order of tithing from 10% to 90%. He gave God 90% and took 10%. His business empire grew from nothing to something in five years. He became a multi millionaire and was a kingdom financier. The business he started with less than $5,000 grew to $500,000,000 in five years.
To scatter according to the scripture above, it means to give your resources and materials for a just cause. It can be likened to sowing your seeds on a fertile ground. Stingy people are always poor, one thing that is common to those that live in perpetual lack is that they don't give. They withold a lot thinking that the more they keep, the more the increase.
Human wisdom will tell you to save and experience increase but God's pattern is that you should give to experience increase. The life of your pastor, sunday school teacher, your parents, the poor, your church and other productive ministries is a fertile ground to sow your seeds. Don't say all these preachers are swindlers, not all of them are swindlers.
When you don't scatter your seeds into the right place, God won't suffer for it except you.
I receive grace to be a die-hard giver In Jesus name. Amen
