CHILDLIKE FAITH

Matthew 17:20 He replied, "Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.

One of the teachers in my son's school was sick sometimes ago. They are very close because after school hours, he normally stay with her before going home. When he got to know that she was sick, he told her, "Come to our house, the power of God is in our room". What he was trying to tell her was that she'll receive her healing if she could come to our house. He was sure about what he said because his faith knew no impossibility. Even myself, I haven't given it a thought to bring someone to our guest room to be healed but the faith of that young boy knew no impossibility. When I was a little boy, whenever we needed power restored, my younger sister and I would go on our knees to pray for power to be restored and we got answers.

If you want to know the faith level of children, tell them to pray. Some of their requests are so big. They make requests without restrictions in their minds. As an adult, if you're to pray the same prayer, you may be double minded about it because you have encountered so many obstacles in life and that has punctured your faith thereby making you to place certain limitations on God: "But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind", James1:6. The faith that works is the faith that knows no impossibility and doesn't place a limitation on God.

'Childlike faith' as a term is not in the bible but it is a coinage that refers to the impossibility mindset that children have. Your faith level will determine the kind of result your life will produce. So many desire to see God at work but they have hindered the move of God in their lives because of their double mindedness. You'll get to know this from their words. One moment, they're praying and asking God for great things but the next moment, they're repudiating their prayers through negative confessions. Until you start believing God for the impossible, possibilities will be far from you. In John 11:40, "Then Jesus said, "Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?". Faith is the key to living a life of glory.

CONFESSION: My faith is working, it is not weak and unhindered. My life will produce result and I'll walk in glory and power of God. Impossibilities aren't permitted around me and I'm on track for a life of excellence in Jesus name
