The issue of eternity is on our hearts constantly or often. Almost everyone is concerned about the life after this life we're living on earth. That's why some persons pray forgiveness and sacrifice for the dead but forgetting that once a man crosses into eternity, that's the end. No amount of prayer, offering or sacrifice can change the fate of a man that is dead. Repentance and forgiveness only exist on this side of eternity before crossing to the other side. Once you breathe your last, you'll be faced with the consequences of your actions and inactions here on earth.
In life, there's a time to born and a time to die, Eccl3:2. Every man is destined to experience physical birth and death once. However, it doesn't end there. There's another type of birth and death that is entirely spiritual. You have a choice in the second birth. Jesus said, "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, EXCEPT A MAN BE BORN AGAIN, HE CANNOT SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD", John 3:3 KJV. Being born again is the second birth that will make you and I escape the second death( in the lake of fire) that is reserved for sinners and the ungodly: "AND DEATH AND HELL WERE CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE. THIS IS THE SECOND DEATH. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire", Rev 20:14-15 KJV.
This rebirth is the guarantee that you will enter heaven and be with God forever. What does it mean to be born again? It simply means to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal saviour and to live for him all the days of your life. Now that you've been born physically, you need to be born again(spiritually) so that you can avoid that horrible second death which is the wrath of God on sinners&the ungodly. I escaped this coming wrath( second death) years back when I gave my life to Jesus Christ and you can also. The choice is yours. Believing that Jesus is able to save you and confessing his Lordship is all it takes to be born again. If you're born once, you will die twice but if you're born twice, you'll die once. If you don't want to die twice, kindly make this confession:
Jesus, come into my heart. I know I'm a sinner. I've been born once but I want rebirth so that I won't die twice. Forgive me of my sins and wash me with your precious blood. I confess you as my Lord and personal saviour. Write my name in the book of life and accept me in Jesus name. Amen
