RETURN TO GOD'S MISSION

Have you ever asked what God's mission is? Sometimes, we misunderstand God and that's why it is hard to walk in his perfect will. One may think God's mission is to make us wealthy. Leaning on this wall, we are leaning on the wrong wall. God's ultimate goal for mankind is that he want men from all tribes to bring him worship: "After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb", Rev 7:9-10 KJV.

Worship is the ultimate goal of God for mankind. What God want from all men is also what the devil craves from us- worship. To buttress this point, in the temptation of Jesus, Satan demanded worship from Jesus by asking him to bow down. It shows how important worship is to God and Satan. How will men from all tribes, tongues, race, nations and kindred bring their worship to a God they don't know? This can only be possible if we return to God's mission which is to spread the gospel to all men across different tribes and tongues. It is only men that have come to God through Christ that will give him true worship.

The early church were involved in God's mission of taking the gospel round and spreading it to those that are unreached in their days: "And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ", Acts 5:42 KJV. Their commitment to preaching from house to and in the temple yielded greatly: "And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks",Acts 19:10 KJV. Wow! In two years of rigorous evangelism, they covered Asia. Our generation can do more if we plunge into the field of souls with our hearts and with our resources.

Over 70,000 people die daily without hearing about Jesus Christ. So sad! There are millions of people around the world that haven't heard about Jesus Christ and we're at ease in our air conditioned and paneled churches. We now have Evangelists who are known for how well they can lead "Fire fall" prayers but no souls in their account. The command is "Go Ye" not "Stay ye". The believer that is not winning souls is weak and the church that is not involved in missions is dead. We are saved to be involved in the salvation of others. Don't look on while souls are perishing. Be a Christian that is mission minded.
