Isaiah9:2 The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine. NLT
The total population of the world is 7.2 billion presently and there are 3 billion people that haven't been reached with the message of the gospel that is, they haven't heard anything about the grace of Jesus Christ. Amongst the remaining 3.2billion people, we have those that subscribe to religions such as Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, traditional religion and atheism.
That tells you and I that a large chunk of the world's population lives in darkness. Anywhere the light of the gospel hasn't shined, darkness exists there. Is God interested in those that have not been saved? Yes, He does. God saw a great potential in those that are living in darkness presently so He spoke through Prophet Isaiah that a great light will shine amongst those that walk in the dark.
The light of the gospel cannot shines except we take the light to those living in darkness. We are the light of the world and we must shine our light in this dark world via preaching and exemplary living. In our prayers, we can push back the wall of resistance that has been preventing the light to shine in dark places. It is a collective responsibility for all not for some selected few.
Father, I receive the grace to shine the light of the gospel from where I am to far and distant lands In Jesus name. Amen
