I remember reading one of Kenneth Hagin's books on ministry, he was a prophet and teacher by calling. He wanted to start a school of prophet and he thought it was the wisest thing to do but God told him to stop the plan he has for the school of prophet. In his mind, he wanted to create a forum for prophets to learn but God made it clear that it was his own thinking and not His.
Have you every been stopped by God when you're about to execute what you thought to be a wonderful idea? Sometimes, the way we think is just out of God's will for our lives and in most cases, we think outside His will because we plan our lives to suit self and to satisfy our ego and carnal cravings.
Only a man that is submissive to God's will can accept such interruptions. God's ways are past finding out and His thoughts are unconventional for we humans. If you want to walk in the realm where you are accurate with God in His plans and purposes, you must be a man that wait on God to receive from Him.
Father, I receive grace to walk in your perfect will for my life In Jesus name. Amen
