Isaiah10:15 But can the ax boast greater power than the person who uses it?
Is the saw greater than the person who saws? Can a rod strike unless a hand moves it? Can a wooden cane walk by itself? NLT
When Jesus wanted to enter Jerusalem triumphantly, he rode on an ass (Matthew21:1-7). Everyone was shouting Hossanna and laying down palm fronds in honour of Jesus. The ass may have thought that all the honour was because of him not knowing it was because of the person that rode on him. After that encounter, we didn't hear about that ass again but Jesus was heard and that remains forever.
When God is using you to do great things in His kingdom, you are just like an ass that Jesus is riding on. If Jesus steps down, you become a nobody. I have seen and heard preachers use the word 'I healed him', I won't even forget a preacher that said he'll be performing miracles in a program. Until you acknowledge the user, you may become very irrelevant. The compliments of people should be sieved because men knows how to offer pride( which leads to downfall) on a platter of gold.
Pride is subtle and it is one of the bane of talented, gifted and anointed people. When you get to that point where you see yourself as the all in all, you are on your way down, if you preach, teach or pray and things happen, take the attention of men away from you and point them to Jesus. As a man that want to go far, I don't entertain praise singers around me, they wrecked Herod. Beware of pride!
Father, I thank you for how you have been using me, I receive the grace to stay humble In Jesus name. Amen
