Genesis 13:15 I am giving all this land, as far as you can see, to you and your descendants as a permanent possession. ESV

FORE SIGHT- SEEING AHEAD

When you read the economic plan of some nations, you may notice how they have envisioned economic growth and expansion for 20 years or more and the steps they would take to achieve their goals. Some have envisioned 50 years time. They are working towards how to contain population boom and they're drawing economic policy frame work to make life better for their citizens. Nations like these are led by visionary leaders and I must say that such leaders are rare to come by especially in Africa. I once heard about a country that has huge gas storage for the next 600 years. That's foresight at work.

Vision entails seeing ahead. The power of vision lies in seeing ahead especially what ordinary people are not seeing. God is a visionary God. We have the book of revelation as a detailed account of what would happen in later times. If God didn't did not show Apostle John, we may not have known what would happen ahead. Every God-given vision speaks of what will happen ahead in God's programme for your life. You need foresight to see ahead. Seeing ahead may come in form of prophetic vision like seeing a trance or open vision but more often it comes as a persistent burden that God is placing on our hearts. What is that persistent burden on your heart?

God's plan for your life had been concluded before the world began. It is not something that God is just planning in heaven, it was concluded before time began. What you need now is foresight. That would enable you to see what lies in the programme of God for your life. The privilege of knowing God's plan ahead would help you in the choices you make and how to order your life. I declined some opportunities years back because of ministry. There are opportunities I'm declining now because of what lies ahead of me in life and ministry. I'm also taking advantage of certain opportunities now because of what is ahead. Foresight is needed to live a defined life. Abram sounded ridiculous to his people when he changed his name to Abraham( Father of many nations). He was childless as of the time he changed his name. Your foresight may make you look ridiculous to people, treasure it and don't loose it.

Action point

Father, I don't want to walk away from your divine programme for my life, open my inner eyes to see In Jesus name.
