Judges6:12 The angel of the LORD appeared to him and said, “Mighty hero, the LORD is with you!”(13) “Sir,” Gideon replied, “if the LORD is with us, why has all this happened to us?...(14)Then the LORD turned to him and said, “Go with the strength you have, and rescue Israel from the Midianites. I am sending you!”

The Midianites have oppressed the children of Israel for long. Those days, a nation with very strong army would invade the other nation and colonize them. It is not always a funny experience because they put their subjects under practical slavery. That was the situation in which the Israelites found themselves under the Midianites but the story didn't end there.
God was preparing a deliverer in Gideon but he didn't know it, he didn't even know he was a mighty man of valour that would deliver his people not until the angel announced to him. Sometimes, we are like Gideon. God has packaged heroic exploits in us, he has wired us for solution to people's problems but we don't know it.
Let me tell you today, you are the solution your world is waiting for, you are the person God is expecting to blaze the trail and turn things around for the nation. Stop sleeping, there is an hero/heroine in you, until you discover it, you cannot unleash it. As you begin to walk with the Spirit of God daily, he'll begin to lead you into areas where God wants you to do exploits.
