Jer17:13 O LORD, the hope of Israel,
all who turn away from you will be disgraced. They will be buried in the dust of the earth, for they have abandoned the LORD, the fountain of living water. NLT
I was in the bus sometimes ago, a man stood up and he started advertising a charm that could make customers to forget big monies or balance in the hands of the sales person. He also sold another charm that would make the people to be favoured. The commuters in that bus rushed the drugs but they were not careful to look at the man's tattered clothes.
When people turn away from God seeking help where there is none, they sheepishly fall for lies and relegate the use of their common and spiritual senses to the dust bin. In times like this, people are turning away from God to other things they feel could help them whereas there's no help elsewhere but in Jesus.
Disgrace is what you get when God is no longer your source of help and sustenance. If you stay on God and do not turn from Him, you won't be put to shame.
Father, I receive grace never to turn back from you In Jesus name. Amen
