There is so much emphasis these days on 'vision', motivational preachers preach it and even unbelievers also talk about it. Virtually everyone has heard or read about having a vision for one's life and that's good but the issue is what type of vision are people seeing these days? In the scripture above, prophet Ezekiel had an open-heaven experience where he saw the vision of God.
In the school of flesh and human psychology that some are preaching today, emphasis on seeing into God's mind and fulfilling His will for our lives is almost non-existent. In most cases, what people call vision is for self-gain and ego not kingdom-based vision. I call that ambition because it was cooked-up in their minds. When God open your eyes to see into His mind what he want you to do, then you are seeing the vision of God and not yours.
In Revelations1:10, John was in the Spirit and he heard God's voice, from then on, he began to see the vision of God as well. You don't need to be a prophet to see what God wants you to see, you only need to be in the Spirit. When we walk in the flesh, we can't see the things of God even from His word. A daily walk in the Spirit positions us to see beyond the realms of human.
Father, I receive grace to walk in the Spirit so that my eyes can see In Jesus name. Amen
