Acts4:31 After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.
Pastor E.A. Adeboye told the story of how he prayed with his father in the Lord in an hotel in the U.S. in 1978. Some other Pastors were there as well, when they prayed, the hotel managers came knocking on their door to know if they were using earth moving machines because the intensity of their prayers shook the hotel building.
Leonardo Ravenhill in his book 'Why Revival Tarries' opined that most of the present day Christians know little about the subject of prayer. We know about building edifices, fund raising but not that type of prayer that shook the foundation of hell. When the Apostles prayed, the place was shaken but in our generation we seek to pay so that the place would be taken.
Prayer is an art that we must study and learn. The only thing that can bring about the much anticipated revival is Spirit-inspired prayers. When the Apostles prayed, their boldness level increased and they declared the word boldly. When you read the annals of revival, prayer played a vital role.
Father, put upon me the mantlee of prayer In Jesus Name. Amen
