Rom1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
I have read the book of Romans severally but recently I caught light of a phrase that got meditating seriously: 'Holding the truth in unrighteousness'. I discovered that it is possible to know the truth and understand but willingly choose not to do the right thing. The scripture above made it clear that God's wrath is revealed towards such.
When we talk about God's wrath, some people think it only applies to those in the old testament but here we are under grace, Paul said God's wrath is released to those that hold the truth in unrighteousness. It is unchristian to know the truth of God's word and deliberately choose not to do it.
There is no excuse for sin because God hates sin but loves the sinner. Romans1:21 made it clear that some set of people knew God but didn't glorify and later in vs 28, God gave them over to a reprobate mind. That's what happens to anyman that willingly disobey God. I know you don't want to have a reprobate mind.
I receive grace to walk in the truth In Jesus name.
