Luke16:29 "But Abraham said, 'Moses and the prophets have warned them. Your brothers can read what they wrote.'
The story captioned in the scripture above is that of the rich man and Lazarus. Lazarus died and went to the bosom of Abraham where there is enjoyment but the rich man died and went to hades (a place for departed souls). The rich man requested father Abraham to send someone from the dead who will go talk to his brothers on earth to repent: (30) "The rich man replied, 'No, Father Abraham! But if someone is sent to them from the dead, then they will repent of their sins and turn to God.'
Father Abraham gave him a wonderful reply in the following verse:(31) "But Abraham said, 'If they won't listen to Moses and the prophets, they won't listen even if someone rises from the dead.'" NLT
We live in days where people prefer to hear revelation from someone that died instead of reading that what is written. Father Abraham would have obliged the request of the rich man, but he said those on earth wouldn't read what is written by the prophets, then no need to send a someone from the dead.
Stop living your life on what a dead man came back to tell you because it negates the scriptures, study your bible and know what is written and obey.
Father, I receive grace to study what is written and to obey it In Jesus name. Amen
