Isaiah42:17 They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.
Recently, a man introduced me to a miracle water that he was selling. He said that he got the water from different sources like the sea, lagoon, and so on. He displayed the water in front of his shop for sale at the rate of N1000. He said whatever any man wants from God, as long as the person use the water according to prescription, the fellow would get an answer.
I know some people would sheepishly fall that hoax. I told the man that anything beyond the name of Jesus is not accepted to me. Christ alone and the power in his name is enough for me. When you place faith in medium rather than in the name of Jesus Christ, you're sinking into idolatrous practice already. That's giving preference to means and medium which is the concept of idolatry.
Some believers are beginning to worship a sacred mantle that their pastor prayed on, some have special anointing oils for different purposes. I am not against mantle or oil but when people begin to 'god' those things as if without it God cannot move, that is pure idolatry. Shame awaits those that do not believe in what the name of Jesus can do.
If faith is all it takes to please God, then it takes faith to get every other thing from God not through medium.
Father, I drop every form of idolatrous medium In Jesus name. Amen
