John14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him
I have been in several worship services where people sing and shed tears in worship, some will lie flat on the floor and some may choose to roll on the floor. There are many things that people do just to show that they love God and truly have a heart that yearns for him. In some of our songs, we declare how we love God and we become emotional about it sometimes.
All that is stated above and more are very good but they aren't proofs of what it is to love God. Loving God can't be seen in how you sing because even the devil can sing. There are unbelievers that can raise your emotions in music and you'll feel you're in another planet. The simple litmus test to know how much of God you love is how well you obey God.
Jesus made it clear that those that truly love God are those that obey his words. If you don't obey God's word, you don't love God. That is how the bible defines those that love God and those that do not. You can't prove your love for him in songs you can only declare it in songs but you act out your love through absolute and total obedience.
