Romans12:9 Don't just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. NLT
There is something Apostle Paul call 'pretending to love others'. It is possible for people to fake love and not really love, it is possible to say 'I love you' but not from the heart. True love can be seen or measured by right action and thinking towards God and others. It is painful to receive hatred from where you expected genuine love.
Sometimes, the best way to know those that really love you is when you are in trouble or facing life's challenges. In 1Cor13, the bible told us what the indices of love are. If you rejoice at the down fall or misfortune of others, you're not really walking in love. Peddling rumor or expecting the worse from others isn't a sign of love. Asking for gossip or what you'll call 'gist' from others about someone may stem from a heart that is void of love.
When we walk in love, then we are like our heavenly father. Love is what defines our Christianity without which all we have left is just mere religion. It pays to walk in genuine love and I want you to decide on that today.
CONFESSION: I walk in love like my heavenly father, the love of the father shall reflect in me henceforth In Jesus name. Amen
