During my service year, I was privileged to be in a meeting with some elderly people who have concern for Christian missions. We all introduced ourselves and when I told them I was a corper serving in the Christian Corper's fellowship, a man told us right there he regretted not serving as a Christian youth corper. It was later in his life that he met Christ and began to do ministry.
The only glory of the old is their gray hair
and experience but not their exploit. Now is the time to use your energy, strength and wisdom for kingdom use. Not only for kingdom use, this is the best time to go to school, learn a trade, acquire a skill, be involved in politics and other meaningful venture that would resonate in eternity and make the world better. God is looking for youths to use likewise the devil; most great men today started out their impacting journey as a youth.
There is an age where you can't do like you can do now, the beauty of old age for a man that has served the Lord in his youthful days, fulfil his purpose and shake his world for Christ is for such to sit as a mentor for the young ones and disciple them for greatness. At old age, what do you intend doing? Telling stories of regrets or impact? Mentoring or being a tormentor? Discipling the next generation or discouraging them? Now that you are young, you can make your choice.
Father, I shall not waste my youthfulness In Jesus name.
