DON'T CONSIDER DIVORCE. Pt.2

December 17, 2016 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Mal2:16 "For I hate divorce!" says the LORD, the God of Israel. "To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty," says the LORD of Heaven's Armies. "So guard your heart; do not be unfaithful to your wife."

The nation of Belgium has the highest divorce rate in the world, it is a country with 71% divorce rate. Over 30,000 Belgians sign divorce papers yearly. I have taken a careful look at several reasons why marriages crash and I discovered that a crash in marriage is mostly due to the fault of the two not willing to make their marriage work. To stay happily married, it is the work of the two involved not just one.

When there is an accumulation of unresolved issues, the marriage may be heading for a crash. Let's liken your marriage to an automobile, when little faults are left unattended to or spare parts not replaced on time, the vehicle may pull a surprise one day and stop on the road. To get that vehicle off the spot, you'll need a mechanic that will diagnose the problem and fix it. You are the mechanic of your marriage. Before you divorce him/her, ask yourself, what's the real problem?

Some thought divorce is the way out of their marital crisis only to enter another marriage and discover that they are facing a much greater problem. Do not allow little issues grow into something so large that it will threaten the peace of your marriage. Resolve it now and find a way out of it. Failure to take this responsibility now may result in marital crash, resolve it now.

I receive the grace to live at peace with my spouse In Jesus name.
