Mal2:16 "For I hate divorce!" says the LORD, the God of Israel. "To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty," says the LORD of Heaven's Armies. "So guard your heart; do not be unfaithful to your wife."
Another reason why couples divorce is lack of proper communication between couples. Communication makes agreement easy; some couples do not communicate on their likes, dislikes and their expectation from each other. Amos3:3 says can two walk together except they agree? I discovered that when communication is lacking, there can't be agreement on issues that can threaten the stability of the marriage.
There are many issues that can threaten the peace of a marriage and they include: sex, finances, relationship with in-laws and friends, raising of children, nature of job, involvement in ministry, infidelity and many others. When the line of communication is open, the factors above can be ironed out without stress.
What are those things threatening the peace of your home? Open up the line of communication and start discussing it with your spouse. As a man in the home, if you don't know how to communicate with your wife as the head, she may assume so many things that are wrong. For example, most men don't tell their wives about the true state of their financial capacity, this makes women to assume their husbands earns so much but not giving enough.
