Proverbs31:30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised. NLT
While I was a post graduate student at the University of Lagos, there was a scuffle that ensued between a lady and man that got the whole faculty environs shaking. So many people had to leave their offices to watch the verbal exchange between this lady and a man that we perceive was quite older than her. The summary of it all is that, the lady is beautiful and charming but without manners.
If you ask an average guy on the streets what qualities he wants in a woman, 9 out of 10 would tell you that he want to marry a very beautiful woman, that's fine but that's not enough reason to marry. King Solomon has seen it all when it comes to the matter of women because he was the minister of women affairs in his days. His conclusion was that a woman that fears God is a priceless gift in the house of any man.
Do not let media give you marriage seminar, most of what you'll see or hear would tell you to focus on what you see on the outside and not the inner person. When the chips are down in marriage, what would matter is not the beauty but the inner person in your partner. If beauty is enough to sustain a marriage and make couples happy, most men won't divorce their beauutiful wives. Beauty is good and I'm no condemning it but in whatever you're looking for in a woman, the fear of God is paramount.
I shall not chose wrongly In Jesus name.
