Rev12:9 And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
I watched a documentary on pythons. There's a deadly specie of python that can hide in a crowded environment without being noticed. Though that's a common characteristics of all snakes but it is hard to believe that a snake of that size can hide cunningly awaiting its without being noticed. When that python sighted its prey, the documentary showed the crafty movement of that python until he struck its prey. The commentator said that specie of python strikes its prey 24 times faster than the speed of light. That caught my attention and i began to ponder on what i watched.
I have heard severally from elders that it is possible to live with a serpent in the same room for days& months without knowing. The bible described the devil as the serpent of old. He shares all characteristics with serpents but he has greater experience in craftiness. Behind every deception in this world, that old serpent is culpable. The cure for deception is the truth. Those that do not incline their hearts to the truth of God's word would fall prey of the devil's deception. The deceptive technique that brought Adam and Eve down is still in force today.
We are in the end time, the devil is fighting the last battle to destroy men and draw them to hell. You cannot afford to keep him around you. In the armour that Apostle Paul told us to put on, he mentioned the belt of truth. We must guard ourselves with it always and never allow the deception of this age take it from us. As long as we give place for sound doctrine and explicit teaching of God's word, we would never fall victim of the devil's deception.
Father, i receive the grace to love the truth and to stay inclined to it In Jesus name.
