Eccl8:1 “Who is as the wise man? and who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? a man's wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the boldness of his face shall be changed.” KJV
I know a public speaker who told us the huge amount he receives as honorarium. Any time i listen to this man, he adds the value of knowledge to me. He is vast and versatile. I was discussing with a colleague about him. We concluded that the best way to move out of lack and poverty is to increase in value and add value to others. I know another conference speaker that spoke for 3 hours in a conference and was paid the total annual salary of some office workers.
One thing that makes the difference between the poor and the rich is the value they carry and the value they are willing to trade. All genuine wealthy people are providing solution to problems and people are getting them paid for it. Anytime you read the forbes list of rich men, let it be known to you that those are men that we have made rich. They devised a means of collecting from every one of us because of the value they are adding to our lives that we are willing to pay for.
The solution they carry is the value they have and they're trading with it. If you increase in value and worth through study, research and skill acquisition, people will pay you to add your value to their lives as long as it solves their problem. That's the surest way out of poverty. Even in ministry, the same applies. A pastor that has increased in spiritual value and built capacity will attract more members and retain them than the man who is just average. Make up your mind to increase in value and add same to others.
Start investing in yourself. Very soon, you'll get a good returns on it.
