I visited a Pastor friend sometimes ago after i finished a training programme. In the training programme, we were given maize seedlings so i took it along to his house. His daughter saw the seeds with him and she wanted to collect them at all cost but her dad told her emphatically that seeds are not meant to be eaten. Probably, she thought that those maize seeds were normal edible maize grains.
Thesame applies in the spiritual. You don't eat your seeds and expect a harvest. Your seed represents anything to be given away so that you can reap a harvest. There have been times that i gave out gifts given to me because deep within, i knew the gifts were seeds to be sown. This has happened severally and i wondered why the Spirit of God leads like that. Maybe it has happened to you as well and you're thinking about why God told you to give that thing out. The answer is not far fetched. It is simply because seeds are not meant to be eaten.
If the widow of Zarephath had not given Elijah her last meal, she wouldn't have experienced abundance during famine. A Christian should be sensitive to God's leading on this matter. If you have to be motivated to sow seeds, you lack understanding. You must come to that place in God where you know what ought to be sown and what to eat. Stop praying for harvest when you have eaten your seeds. Harvest doesn't answer to fasting&prayer but sowing. Prayer only becomes relevant when seeds have been sown. Seeds are for sowing, breads are to be eaten, you need to discern.
