Jeremiah 17:10 "I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give to each man according to his ways, According to the results of his deeds.
I returned from a foreign outreach sometimes ago and i had a little left over ministry money with me. After every outreach, i account for all expenditures and i normally return the remaining into the ministry's purse. When i got home, my mother-in-law who had been with us for weeks was prepared to return to her base. She had been of great help to us especially in taking care of the kids. It is normal for us to send her forth with substantial money and gifts but all i had was less than N7,000 in my personal account.
My wife asked me what we would give to Mama. I was on my laptop working and thinking but short of words. I just didn't know the right answer to give but i calmed her. Something within me drew my attention to the ministry's money with me which wasn't for me. Right there in my heart, i made up my mind i won't touch that money. My wife left the room while was on the bed working on my laptop. Immediately, i received a message from someone far away asking me to send my account number. I sent it to her without thinking twice. The alert i got was a shocker. I was able to settle Mama well and we had a liitle left over. I didn't tell this person i needed money. That was a miracle.
If you must rise in life, your integrity would be tested. God wouldn't move you to the next level in life and ministry until you pass the exams in the school of faithfulness and integrity. Money, women & power would test you. It is possible to fail in these areas even before the test comes because God weighs our heart. God rejected Eliab before he was chosen yet David was accepted by God before he was enthroned. Isn't that surprising? Where Samson failed, Joseph succeeded, where Judas failed, Peter succeeded(Acts8:20). Prayer alone is not enough to raise a man, there are test to be taken. You may be in the season of examination, be diligent to write your papers well.
Father,i receive the grace not to fail you In Jesus name.
