SETTING SPIRITUAL LAWS IN MOTION Pt.4

Galatians 6:7 Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. NLT

THE LAW OF SOWING& REAPING

Bishop David Oyedepo told the story of how the Holy Ghost prompted him to sacrifice something precious to him. Afterwards, God said to him, “My son David, even if you don’t want to be rich, it is too late.” His sacrificial giving set in motion spiritual law that opened doors of continuous financial supply. You cannot achieve this with prayer if you've not done the right thing. Personally, I've experienced this over and over. When lockdown started in the month of March in the year 2020, my expected income from my personal venture for that month wasn't much but what I got was half of what I would have gotten. Yet, as prompted by the Lord, I gave a large part of it to support those in need. It was as though the world wanted to crash because there was an increase in the frequency of eating of my boys. How do I feed these soldiers? I later discovered that other families had the same experience with their children, because they weren't going to school, their frequency of eating increased. Before I started raising money for those in need and field missionaries, the giving started with me. One of those days, my wife bought pepper with the little we had. The girl that grinded the pepper poured it away. We looked at each other and we couldn't cry. We can't pick a fight with the girl to buy another pepper. Quietly, my wife entered the house, to your tent O' Israel.

After a while, supplies came for us in excess without asking those God used. In fact, I was afraid at a time because the frequency at which the supplies came was short and almost in succession. Still, we didn't stop giving those in need. Dearest, don't be deceived, the law of sowing and reaping is still in force. Nothing has changed it. It is an eternal principle that God set in motion for those that want to experience divine supply. According to Paul in the opening text, It will be injustice on the part of God for men to sow and not reap. Read what the bible says about this eternal law in Genesis 8:22, "As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest,...will never cease.” The bible says nothing can change the principle of sowing and reaping not even modernization. Often, what some people pray about only requires the right action of sowing. No matter how long a farmer prays on his farm, if he refuses to plant on his farm, nothing will grow except weeds. Same applies to our lives. Seed sowing isn't only restricted to money. It includes actions and thoughts. If you sow love, understanding and respect in your marriage, you'll get it back. Some spouses aren't mad, they're only reacting to bad seeds sown.

I've seen alot of believers quote Philippians 4:19 when they're in need of divine supply yet they fail to realize that Paul wasn't just praying there. Rather, it is a statement of wish consequent upon the action Philippian church took by helping his ministry financially: "As you know, you Philippians were the only ones who gave me financial help when I first brought you the Good News and then traveled on from Macedonia. No other church did this. Even when I was in Thessalonica you sent help more than once."(Philippians 4:15-16 NLT). As a result of what the Philippian church did by sending him more than enough supplies, then he said: "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus"(Philippians 4:19 KJV). Simple! You will not experience Philippians 4:19 if you didn't practice Philippians 4:15-16. In this kingdom, there are operational laws that prayer& fasting cannot change. Everything has its own place and application. As you go about your legitimate businesses or jobs ( which is the platform for blessings), keep sowing into kingdom expansion projects, lives of ministers of the Gospel and the poor. It is just a matter of time, you'll reap it fully according to the justice system of God.

Action point

Father, I receive the grace to sow the right seeds in Jesus name.
