WHY I BELIEVE IN TRINITY Pt.5
2 Cor 13:14 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
DISTINCT ROLES OF THE GODHEAD(A)
In previous teaching, it is clear that there's order, submission and subordination in the Trinity. Their subordination to the Father is not out of inferiority but orderliness. That's a great lesson for us. We must emulate the Son and the Spirit in this. In this kingdom, humility is a priceless virtue. Wives should know that the command to submit to their husbands is not because of inferiority but because of their unique roles. Each member of the Godhead have distinct roles they play because submission & subordination created an order. Revelation 1:1 revealed God the Father as the source of divine revelation: "This is a revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants the events that must soon take place. He sent an angel to present this revelation to his servant John,"( Revelation 1:1 NLT). God determines the secrets or mysteries to be unveiled to man. Moses said, "The LORD our God has secrets known to no one. We are not accountable for them, but we and our children are accountable forever for all that he has revealed to us, so that we may obey all the terms of these instructions."( Deuteronomy 29:29 NLT).
The miracles in the bible and the great supernatural display we read about are sourced from the Father: "Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works."(John 14:10 KJV). It is the Father in Jesus that did those mighty works. He is the source. God the Father is always working in the best interest of man: "But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work."(John 5:17 KJV). You're an expression of God's workmanship. Paul said, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."(Ephesians 2:10 KJV). Hallelujah!!!
Another distinct role of the Father is the salvation of mankind. God the Father is the brain behind salvation. John 3:16( with emphasis) says, "For God( the Father) so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son( Christ), that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." You and I couldn't have accepted Christ into our lives if God the Father hadn't sent Him to die for our sins. Our salvation is not an afterthought, it was planned by God the father before the foundation of the world: "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb, slain from the foundation of the world."(Rev 13:8). Christ is the lamb of God that was slain for our salvation before the foundation of the world. God the Father didn't wait for Adam and Eve to mess up before looking for a way out. He had it all planned from before the beginning. Redemption is an expression of God's love: "But God( the Father) commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."( Romans 5:8 KJV, Emphasis). I can say that God the Father is obsessed with mankind. That's why the Psalmist asked, "What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?"(Psalm 8:4). God the father is working out your own good.
CONFESSION: I am the image of God. I am on the mind of the Father always. He is at work in me and through me to fulfill His eternal purpose on the earth. Henceforth, my life shall radiate the beauty of salvation and God's grand eternal plan for me in Jesus name.
