WHY I BELIEVE IN TRINITY Pt.2

2 Cor 13:14 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

The revelation of the holy trinity is right there on the pages of scriptures. often most people do not see it neither do they recognize it. The subject of trinity is one that is revealed progressively. Only those that believe in the inspiration of the bible will believe this teaching. If you subject it to mental analysis, you'll be confused because spiritual things can only be discerned spiritually. When Jesus gave the command we now know as The Great commission, there's something there that buttresses the trinity. He said, "Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit"( Matthew 28:19 NLT). This is Jesus speaking here, he emphasized that baptism should be in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. This is because they are inseparable beings that work in concert. Without these three unique personalities, your salvation would not have been made perfect. At benediction time in church, we reaffirm the holy trinity by saying: "May the grace of the Lord JESUS CHRIST, and the love of GOD, and the fellowship of the HOLY SPIRIT be with you all". If you've been confessing that after church service, you've been confessing the trinity.

Humanly, there's no perfect way to describe or illustrate the trinity. Any illustration we give only comes close but not perfect. Take a look at your egg. It has a shell, yolk and albumen( egg white). These three unique components make up the egg yet you don't go to the market saying you want to buy yolk or shell. What you buy is egg. It is left for you to do whatever you want with it. We can liken that to the trinitarian relationship. Though they are three unique persons, yet they are one. God exist in three persons. Paul, speaking about Jesus Christ said, "You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. THOUGH HE WAS GOD, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to"(Philippians 2:5-6 NLT). Jesus is God, the Holy Spirit is God( Acts 5:3-4).

In creation, God used man to buttress this tripartite relationship. Man is a tripartite being: spirit, soul and body. 1 Thesalonians 5:23 says, "Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again"(1 Thessalonians 5:23 NLT). Man is three-in-one working together. You cannot separate man into different entities because the triune components of man work together. Though they're unique with separate functions yet they work together as one For instance, you don't marry someone and say "I'm married to her body alone. I'm less concerned about others". Hey! When you married, you got married to the total being of the person. That's the way it is at salvation. When you accepted Christ, it was also an acceptance of the father, and the Holy Spirit. You cannot truly believe in Jesus and not believe in the Godhead. I believe in the holy trinity because it is revealed in scriptures.
