Matthew27:46- At about three o' clock, Jesus called out with a loud voice, 'Eli, Eli, lema sabacthani?". Which means "My God, My God, why have you abandoned me?". NLT
The story of Job in the bible has always made me sober and I sincerely think if I was in his shoes, my reaction maybe negative. Another one that struck me deep was when the book of isaiah recorded that God couldn't look at Jesus on the cross because he wasn't good to behold. We could infer that, at a time in history, it was as if God abandoned Jesus.
Jesus was in serious pains, that pain birthed the salvation of man-kind and launched us into this dispensation of grace. The price was worth it. There are times we feel like Jesus when going through certain trials. The purpose of trial is to refine you and make you better not bitter. Your time of trial or waiting is a time to pick-up something God wants to add to your walk with him and drop the excesses he want to take from you.
Trouble days don't last and I know it shall be over very soon. In the real sense of it, God hasn't abandoned you, even when your prayers aren't answered yet. The feeling of abandonment is a ploy by the devil to make us feel discouraged. Your victory's set time is now and I see you walking out unscathed from those life's issues you're going through now.
