1Pet3:22 Now Christ has gone to heaven. He is seated in the place of honor next to God, and all the angels and authorities and powers accept his authority. NLT
Most times, we believers play down on the authority conferred on Christ as manifested in his name. In the realm of the spirit, Christ is a figure that angels and demons respect because of the authority and influence that he wields. His death placed him far above all powers and principalities.
Salvation on the other hand confers on us the right to make use of that authority at will. Glory!!!. When you pray in the name of Jesus and command the devil, God won't say no because you're now a joint heir with Christ and a partaker of the new life. In Luke 10:19, Jesus gave us that same authority he has for our own benefit. The devil doesn't respect your family name but he respects the name of Jesus.
There is no need to fear the devil, demons and his cohorts. The devil can only mess-up with an ignorant Christian but when he knows that you know who you are in Christ coupled with your rights, he keeps a distance. I want you to rise with the authority of Christ in you and speak to that mountain, cast out demons troubling your life and decree how you want your life to run.
