2Cor6:6 We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love. NLT
In the early church, there were contentions about the apostleship of Paul that is the reason why he always introduce himself as an Apostle of Christ at the beginning of every of his letters.
There were false teachers, apostles and prophets in their days but he went further to mention a few things that can be used to prove a true minister.
Everyone called into the ministry must be proven on the altar of purity, understanding, patience, kindness and love by the Spirit. You don't try to be self-righteous and make a show of your purity to the world by announcing yourself but the Spirit of God will work on people's hearts to confirm your genuineness to them.
Americans respect Billy Graham not because he announced himself as 'mr righteous' but the people saw in him a life that is worthy of the gospel and they called him 'Mr integrity'. If God has called you into the ministry, it is a noble calling and nothing in the world can be compared with it. Your life as a man of God must be beyond reproach and you must be the light that brightens the dark paths of the people.
Father, I receive grace to walk worthy of my calling In Jesus name. Amen
